Dress Code

Standards of dress apply at all times for all members and their guests. Hats, caps and visors may not be worn in the Clubhouse. Caps must be worn with the peaks forward. Shirts must be tucked in at all times except those that are tailored to be worn out. Only approved soft spike golf shoes or running shoes are permitted.

Specifically Prohibited

• Cargo pants/shorts (untailored with pockets that are on the outside of the pant)
• Cut offs, sweat pants, track suits
• narrow band t-shirts and tank tops

Jeans are prohibited from the golf course, the Clubhouse and on the patio except for certain social events including Mix 'n Mingles.

What's acceptable?

For Women and Junior Girls: slacks, skirts, capris, and shorts. Skirts, capris or shorts must not be more than 5 inches from the top of the knee. Suitable golf tops: golf shirts with sleeves need not have a collar; sleeveless golf shirts must have a collar. Tops must be tucked in or have a tailored edge which hangs below the waist.

Men and Junior Boys: suitable golf shirts with collar or band top or full turtleneck. Un-tucked tailored-bottom shirts, collared and full-buttoned are acceptable. All other shirts must be tucked in at all times. Shorts should be tailored and "golf appropriate" to a maximum of 2 inches above the knee when standing.

Pre-Juniors (Under 10 years of age)
Whitevale Golf Club recognizes that children's clothing trends can vary from adults. As such, some tolerance to under-age children will be permitted provided that their dress is in keeping with general guidelines and is in good taste.
