You might be surprised to know that Whitevale is on the same latitude as Cannes on the sunny Riviera. That said, we still have to close the golf course for the winter. Generally speaking, spring and summer temperatures range from 15°C (60°F) to 25°C (80°F). During winter months, our golf course usually hibernates beneath snow and ice, but rarely more than 10 cm. (4 inches).

Our prevailing winds change throughout the season. During the pleasant days of summer, breezes usually come from the south or southwest. In the shoulder seasons of spring and fall, we are more likely to have a wind out of the north or northwest... in other words, straight in your face on most of the uphill holes. A north wind has also been known to appear unexpectedly in the middle of summer. This variety of prevailing winds throughout the seasons adds yet another dimension of interest and challenge to the golf course.
