Film Crews at Whitevale

Over the last few months, a film crew for a TV series on Prime called “The Boys” has been filming on Altona Rd., Whitevale Rd., and North Rd.

During this time, they reached out to us to rent our parking lot on two different occasions. We gladly allowed them to do so.

In return, we asked that they make a donation in Whitevale Golf Club's name to a local food bank. I am happy to announce that $2,000.00 has been donated to St Paul's on the Hill in Pickering on our behalf.

Greens aerification is underway this week and will be completed prior to opening day. A reminder that healing will be slower at this time of year, but greens will only continue to improve with each passing day.

Dol Turf is back on site and has resumed working on the front 9 bunkers. They are currently tackling holes 2 and 3. Sod laid last year is still in the early rooting phases. Please be patient as this critical stage continues to improve over the next 4-6 weeks. Once this rooting is sufficient, bunker boards and stakes will be removed and the bunkers will start to become open for play. This process will follow the same order of renovation starting with 16, 17, and 18 first. More updates on bunker play to follow.

A note from the JHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committee).

Congratulations to Whitevale Employees who have successfully completed the Standard First Aid, CPR and Defibrillator Training. These new trainees join a list of other staff members previously trained, all of whom are ready to act in case of an emergency. There are now more than 15 staff trained to ensure that there is always someone on-site during the season. A big thank you to Jodi Crerar for the excellent training.
