Reminder: 1.5 Members' Guests

Members may only introduce one guest on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and that guest may not play prior to 11:00 am. Otherwise, a member may introduce up to three guests a day.

The names of all guests must be provided to the Pro Shop, and entered on to the tee sheet, before they may tee off.

Members are responsible for their guest's behaviour at all times while on the Club's property.
Events
  • Poa seedhead on greens has begun, greens will be bumpy for a while until the seedhead has subsided.
  • New bunkers will be opening daily as we continue to remove bunker boards and stakes on the remaining holes.
  • A reminder that if a bunker has rakes available, then it is open for play. Please remember to enter and exit the bunkers on the flat locations and rake your footprints.
  • Tee aerification is now complete.
  • Don't forget to continue to fix ball marks on greens and replace your divots on tees and fairways when possible.
  • Ticks are out in heavy numbers in the long grasses of our “naturalized areas”. Please remember to be tick safe and check yourself over after each round. If a tick is found feeding on you, visit any department manager (Turf, F&B, Pro Shop, Back Shop) for a tick removal tool.
  • As the warmer weather approaches, blackflies, mosquitoes and UV levels will increase. Please remember NOT to apply pressurized bug spray or sunscreen while on any turf areas as it damages the grass.

Aim to Succeed

Studies show that the direction of a golf shot is determined by the interaction between the clubface and swing path. More or less, the ball starts in the direction the clubface is pointing and then curves according to its relationship to the swing path. Any time the swing path is left of the clubface, the ball will curve to the right of its starting point. When the path is to the right of the clubface, the ball will curve left. With a putt, however, the swing path doesn't have anywhere near the same influence. Almost exclusively, the ball's direction is dictated where the putter head is pointing at impact. What this means is that on short putts especially, it really pays to aim your putter face precisely.
