  • 12 green has been vented, and top dressed this week to help alleviate some of the challenges we experience with the growing environment. It will be a bit bumpy and slower than the rest of the greens for a day or two. Some short term pain for long term gain.
  • We had some vandalism to 17 green on Sunday July 13. Someone took a wedge to the green approximately 6 feet from the pin. If you were playing that day and can contribute to the investigation for the person responsible please send me an email or pass on your information to the Pro Shop. The incident took place in the evening.
  • Please don't forget that turf is a living and breathing entity and experiences significant stress during heat waves.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to our sold out event – Living the Life!

Registration begins at 5:30pm, where you can collect your wristbands and tickets at the check-in table.

A friendly reminder that the clubhouse will close at 4:30pm to allow the kitchen team time to prepare for the evening’s festivities.

If you’re out on the course and need a bite or a drink, the halfway house will remain open until 8:00pm, offering sandwiches and beverages.

We can’t wait to see you there for what promises to be a memorable night!

Fool Proof

Looking for a fool proof way to chip when you’re just off the green and are not confident using a conventional chipping technique? Try this method: take anywhere from a 9 iron to a lob wedge - depending on how much roll out is required. Stand so your eyes are almost directly over top of the ball and your toes are no more than 4-5 inches from the ball. The shaft of your club should be almost straight up and down, your wrists arched (effectively disabling them), and the heel of the club off the ground. Addressing the ball just inside the club’s toe, now make a putting stroke. You can use either your normal grip or a putting grip. The toe will penetrate through the grass ensuring clean contact, the ball will loft up dependably and carry on to the green, and, because the toe strike will deaden the contact, it won’t roll out very far. Sticking to this basic technique, go to a chipping green and experiment, trying different clubs and lies. It won’t take long to develop a feel for your distance
