WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 18th
Events
  • Tee aerification is now complete, thank you for your patience during this process, tee decks will firm up and improve with a few cuts and rolls.
  • Fairway aerification will begin next week, we will do our best to avoid working around play, but it will be necessary at times. Please avoid hitting into our operators when possible, as it is difficult for them to start and stop in the middle of a pass.
  • Our next Maintenance Day will be utilized to maximize our efficiency and minimize the disruption to members while aerifiying fairways.

As the season moves into fall, there’s still plenty happening around the clubhouse. Here’s what you need to know this week:

Weekly Features Ending Soon

Our popular weekly dining specials are coming to a close at the end of September. That means there are just a couple more chances to enjoy Fish & Chips Fridays and our signature Prime Rib Sundays. These features have become a tradition at Whitevale, and we hope you’ll join us over the next two weekends to savor them before they’re gone.

Whitevale Employee Scholarship Winner

We are proud to share that the Whitevale Employee Scholarship has been awarded to Michael Salwonchuk. Now in his third season with us, Michael has brought energy, dedication, and positivity to his role, and he absolutely loves being part of the Whitevale family. We couldn’t be prouder to recognize his hard work and commitment. Please join us in congratulating Michael on this well-deserved achievement!

Fresh Honey Available

Our shelves are still stocked with jars of fresh summer honey. This member-favorite makes the perfect gift, a sweet addition to your pantry, or a thoughtful way to support the club. Be sure to pick some up during your next visit.

October Blast – Save the Date!

Get ready for one of the biggest social nights of the season! On Saturday, October 25th, we’ll be hosting our October Blast, featuring a live performance by the Blackboard Blues Band. Expect an evening filled with incredible food, lively socializing, and a chance to hit the dance floor with fellow members. This will be a night to remember, so be sure to mark your calendars and dust off your dancing shoes.

Stripping Down

When helping someone with his/her swing, mostly the process is not about adding new pieces, but rather getting rid of unnecessary movement that’s preventing the student from reaching his/her potential. The best players in the world make it look “easy” because what we’re observing are swings that have been stripped down to their purist form. The illusion of simplicity is a result of the efficiency of the movement: Nothing is moving that shouldn’t be moving. Simple is hard to attain in golf because the act of swinging a golf club is counterintuitive. Our body instinctively wants to do more than what is really needed. My philosophy with every student is that hidden beneath everyone’s little eccentricities there’s a really good golf swing waiting to be unleashed!
