3.7 Board Code of Conduct

All elected board of Directors shall:

  • Represent the interests of all Members of the Club and not favour special interest inside or outside the Club.
  • Not use the Club or their service on the Board for their own personal advantage or for the advantage of their friends, relatives or supporters
  • Keep detailed financial information confidential
  • Respect and support majority decisions of the Board
  • Approach all Board issues with an open mind, prepared to make the best decisions for everyone involved
  • Do nothing to violate the trust of those who elected them to the Board, or of those they serve 
  • Focus their efforts on the mission of the Club and not on personal goals or agenda
  • Never exercise authority as a Board member except when acting in a meeting with the full Board or as delegated by the Board
  • Consider themselves as trustees of Whitevale Golf Club and do their best to ensure that it is well maintained, financially secure and always operating in the best interests of the membership

Failure to adhere to the Board of Directors Code of Conduct may result in removal from the Board.
